- The public procurement is awarded in connection with the implementation of the National Program for the Prevention, Supervision, Control and Liquidation of Animal Diseases, including zoonoses for the period 2025 - 2027, the program aims at protecting animal and humans in the Council of Ministers. Bulgaria and compliance with the principle of free movement of goods (animals and animal products) on the territory of the European Union. The program indicates the priority infectious diseases and zoonoses, both for Bulgaria and for the EC, in which significant health and economic are applied to the occurrence Damage to the country, and their rapid restriction and liquidation contributes to the expansion of animal trade, raw materials and food of animal origin. The implementation of the envisaged measures for the prevention, rapid restriction and elimination of diseases under Art. 118, para. 1 of the Veterinary Medical Act Activity (Act) will guarantee the health of animals, harmlessness and high quality of food and raw materials they produce and the protection of people from zoonoses. The Bulgarian Food Safety Agency is obliged to fulfill the commitments before the European Commission for Prevention of the onset and spread of diseases and the rapid elimination of possible epizoots on animals.
