- IGB is the interconnector gas pipeline between Greece and Bulgaria, operated by ICGB AD, a company registered in the Republic of Bulgaria. The IGB gas pipeline is connected to the existing Greek national gas transmission system (operated by DESFA SA) in the area of Komotini (Greece) and Trans Adriatic Pipeline AG (TAP) in Greece and with the existing Bulgarian national gas transmission system in the region of Stara Zagora (Bulgaria). The IGB gas pipeline has a total length of 183 km (31.6 km Greece, 150.9 km Bulgaria) and a diameter of 32" (DN 800) and an initial safe transmission capacity of 3 bNcmy (Billion Normal Cubic Meters per Year), with the possibility of future expansion to a maximum technical capacity of 5 bNcmy. The IGB gas pipeline entered commercial operation on October 01, 2022 with all sub-items and parts according to the approved design. "IC GB" AD owns a License for the transmission of natural gas: No. L-576-06 dated 04.11.2021, issued by KEVR.
