Description:
Description: Schiphol is one of Europe's largest airports with tens of millions of passengers annually. A large proportion of travelers reached or leave Schiphol with a (pre-ordered) taxi, hotel bus, event bus or a shuttle service to a parking area. There is no room for hundreds of vehicles before the arrival passage. To guide passenger processes in the right direction and not to burden access roads, Schiphol works with carriers that are known, buffer locations and the "just in time" principle. There is essential support for a transport regulation system that all (sub) modalities and (logistical) business rules has thus to regulate traffic on the arrival passage, taxi buffer location and P41 (buffer location). The system is programmed so that it knows of thousands of vehicles which when called and / or permitted. The transport regulation system currently being used by Schiphol to regulate such access is from manufacturer and supplier Electronic Application Laboratory B.V. (EAL) .schiphol will upgrade its train and bus stations in the coming years as part of the multimodal junction project ...
